Could any of the number crunchers here tell me what the min skill needed to succeed in the combine for a robe of misery is?

Depends on what you mean by succeed. On any given combine (unless skill restricted) there will always be a 5% chance to succeed and there will always be a chance to fail. So given that reasoning it is "possible" to get the robe successfully combined at a skill of 1 but not likely. If you were looking for the minimum skill needed to guarentee a successful combine, there isn't one as there will always be a chance to fail also. Usually when an item is trivial it gives to about a 75-90% chance to succeed.

Always a 5% chance unless skill restricted ... I did not know that. In that case ... I guess my question should have been at what tailoring skill does the chance to succeed increase? or what are the chances at 150 skill and 200 skill?
By succeed ... I mean a successful combine to create the item (robe of misery). I understand that there will always be a chance of failure given the >250 trival of this item. I'm looking for what my chances of success are at x level of tailoring. Meaning ... if I had the items in my sewing kit and decided to go for broke knowing the odds were against me, what would those odds be at 150 tailoring?
I want one of the robes pretty badly, having a hard time resisting the urge to say the heck with it and make the combine, knowing I'm going to most likely fail. Not really a bad thing, but being penniless makes this an expensive failure when I do.
Thanks for the info though, gives me a little bit to chew on.Last edited by Zeriux; 12-15-2003, 06:26 PM.

almost certainely be 200 with geerlock. 212 would be nice. 240 with geerlock and your the same as 250 with geerlock because of the cap. 5% is one in 20 though so you chance at 150 is 1 in 20 and you might make it. doubt you will get much above 5% minimum until at least 200 though.
