Pardon what seems to me a strange question, but if the required skill for the combine for ethereal silk swatches is 220, then is the trivial really 212? And if so, how do we know?

If you get a +5% skill item (like a Trophy or a Geerlok) you can create a item with the minimum skill of 210, get a a "Virtual" skill of 220, and then get to skill up to 212 and then it goes trivial.

Without the Geerlock/Trophy (or other +X% item) you can't attempt until you get to 220.
