  • Tae Ew Silk Options - Advice Requested

Tonight I finally scrounged up a second spinechill silk in the bazaar. I have had a spinechill ichor banked for a while.

    So this is my dilemma:

Do I take these components to make a Tae Ew Silk Bracer or do I wait (perhaps for a very long time) to get the components to make the robe?

    What do you think?

Also, if any of you have had experience selling the bracer, a price guideline or two would be nice. I realize different servers have different markets, but any info at all would be nice, as it is hard for me to accurately rate INT caster gear, being a full-time rogue.

    Thanks in advance.

    sleeves.

Intel sleeves are the most difficult slot to get anything decent in. Takes the same amount of components as the bracer.

Robes are.. a dime a dozen... as well as bracers. Given the current state of mudflation.. only the sleeves are really worth the effort to make in this set, considering the level restriction.

      MAGIC ITEM
      Weight: 0.1 Size: SMALL
      Slot: ARMS
      AC: +7 Int: +7 Fire Resist: +3 Magic Resist: +4 HP: +20 Mana: +35
      Classes: Necromancer Enchanter Magician Wizard
      Races: All Races
      Slot 1: Type 7

Hmmm. As usual, I have to claim my total incompetence at rating caster items. :P When I get home (on my trader) I will look up other high-end caster sleeves, to see what the competition is. I have seen people make Stormweave sleeves before (instead of the PoS robe), which perplexed me, but perhaps this is why.

I know arms are hard to find for rogues, too, so this isn't that big of a shock. Anyhow, thanks for the heads up, and I would appreciate hearing from any others.

my guild was raiding kael some for faction and drops with an alliance guild. we are somewhat small but good peeps. the thurg quested sleeves dropped. 2 wore gatorscale sleeves, 1 had metal flecked wirespun sleeves and i had finespun cloth sleeves. several of these ppl are 60+and go to the planes. sleeves are a hard slot to fill with something decent. the ornate silk sleees have mp4 though so most get that eventually. big distance between gatorscale and ornate though.

its hard to compete against the bracelet of comprehension with all svs and 15 int. robe is a big deal item. tons of robes on the market and lots of focus effects on them to compete against. good luck on your combine. i will sacrifice some meat pie to the rng for you. (i bake atm)

Sleeves are hard for wis casters too...they're just plain hard all together (unless you're getting ornate/elemental).

Personally, I sell woodie cultural sleeves, bracers and belts...and wear a set of the sleeves myself. =)

OK guys, thanks for all the useful advice. I will attempt the sleeves tomorrow. Too late to bother logging on my main tonight. I will let ya know how they come out.

ps - for rogues: haze panther, then grey flesh, then ornate was what urni went through.

Aye, our casters are basically the same... i'm wearing the stormweave, and 3 of our other casters are wearing tae ew.. at 65. Past stormweave, or one of the elemental sets, ornate is the nice upgrade out there, sadly only for the effect (ornate boots are the same way.. great effect, but like almost all caster sets, poor stats).

One bad thing is, it's hard to justify making one of the elemental arms because the possibility of upgrading to ornate is so close... although depending on your guild, and friends, there will ALWAYS be someone needing better arms.
