  • A bug with the spiderlings in Butcherblock mountains.

I have recently noticed that they all seem to have their pathing bugged and get stuck under the hills.

I have been eathquakeing them to the surface, like dynamiting fish in a river. This was on AB, is it happening on other servers?

I had friends that were in the guide program back in 1999 and they said that it was happening then, too.

Even though the pathing has been changed a few times, there are places that mobs will get stuck in the older zones. They just probably changed from one type to another.

Erud's crossing in the same way.

This happens in a LOT of zones

I have experienced this in the Feerott, Erud's Crossing and Misty Thicket. And I had one particularly HARROWING experience in Stonebrunt Mtns. one time...

My hubby and I were roaming the zone and we saw a glowy mountain and decided to go check it out. When we got close enough, I SWEAR around 50 tigers erupted from it (they are KOS to me) as well as a handful of pandas. It was UNREAL, I almost died due to lag from the tiger surge It was the biggest train I have ever seen! All were stuck in the mountain until I got close enough to aggro them.

Mobs get stuck under the world in a lot of zones; your technique is the same as my hubby used...just AE 'em.

The changes to the pathing in a patch a few months ago resulted in nearly all the low level mobs in BB hiding under the hills.
I /petitioned, /bugged and /feedback'ed it several times and it's now a bit better than it used to be (i.e at least there are some mobs wandering around now as opposed to zero before).

You're probably better off chasing spiderlings in East Commons as they seem to be more plentiful there.
