  • Farming Small Pieces of Acrylia

I'm about to start studded acrylia armor and am having some trouble finding a good spot to farm the stackable acrylia pieces. Any suggestions? I've tried Hollowshade and DSP with no luck (NO drops at all). I can farm pretty much anywhere (61 druid/56 enchanter), but I'm looking for the best place to get quick and easy drops . . . maybe that place doesn't exist. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

get a chisel. get smithing up. bind in bazaar if all else fails. break down anything larger into stackable peices. acrylia caverns are normally recomended. grimling caves if you want windstones too.

they seem to be the best places. save the acrylia runes. they stack and sell for 2-6pp i hear. can get good money off stacks.

look in smithing forum as well. lots of acrylia talk in it.

      ohhh...I feel for you

Hi. I figured I might as well help you on this one as I have just been through this hell.

Ok, here are three options for you, all are viewed from my opinion and I am a 55th season Necromancer :

      1. Go to the Acrylia Caverns. They are located in Grimling Forest. Be advised that this is a high-level area. I found the grimlings to be tough casters (nukes and DoT's) and even tougher in melee. Those I fought ( single pulls) at the entrance conned dark blue to me.

      2. Go to Tenebrous Mountains. There you can find two caves with grimling miners. They will all be green to you, but every so often they drop acrylia in all shapes. If you kill off one cave, it will be just about time for the next one to respawn. They drop lots of runes that sell well to vendors for about 3-4pp each. Bring a friend to help you carry. (Small weight, but lots of items.)

      3. The easy option. Go to Rathe mountains at a time when most US people sleep. Kill the Giants "en masse". Sell all the weapons. Go to the bazaar and buy the acrylia for all of the cash you just pulled in.
(This is the option I used for a time since farming the acrylia just got sooooo boring in the long run.)

      ALSO!

If you are planning on skilling up past 200, the easiest route is flawless rockhopper hides. Be aware of that you will need "small bricks of acrylia ore" to make "acrylia bonings" in that case...something I sadly noticed to late.

      285 - Fletching

I thought there was a way to make the blocks larger again, or am I thinking clay?

3 of one type combine into next larger type.

I 'think' you need water to do this.

Might try a search for "acrylia".. there's been a couple threads that have pretty complete discussions on the availability of acrylia.

As for it being easiest, thats relative; I found wyvern masks to be the easiest path.... wyvern are doable mid 50's, fishing is, well.. fishing.... and the velium can be farmed in multiple zones starting at level 30-35 in CC.

Personaly I liked hunting ME, the Gorgana Scouts have a fairly decent drop rate of bricks/peices of acrylia. I usualy hunt the tree between AR and UP as there arn't any roamers there. Mostly I was shard hunting but the decent acryalia drop rate makes the camp more tolerable. Most spawns to pull near by also but you get adds frequently pulling from there.
I'd say the drop rate is about 40% for acrylia off of these bad boys. Should be easy for you to handle the scouts. I wouldn't recommend going there until the mid 50's.
Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*
