I am sitting at 221 tailoring and wondering since I will probably be the only Erudite going for 250 on my server. I was wondering if people would actually buy the cultural armor.

Erudite Cultural plausible market?

Well...
Rigid Steelweave (the non-deity stuff) has a market as 'generic' cultural for plate classes.
Imbued Steelweave has a tiny market (how many plate-class erudites do you see?)
The Woven Platinum I have never seen for sale. Draw your own conclusions.
The LDoN robes might have a market, and almost certainly the best robe (with Improved Damage 3) will have a market.
HTHItzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.
"If it cannot hatch from it's shell, the chick will die without ever truly being born. We are the chick; the world is our egg. If we don't break the world's shell, we will die without truly being born. Smash the world's shell, for the Revolution of the World."

The Robe of Tempest (ID3 robe) certainly has a market. I have sold/given away over a dozen of them. Runes of Tempest are still not reasonably priced, so the robe is not. It is a great robe for a twink (good Int, mana and ID3), but the price charged is usually prohibitive.
I have made the armor for 3 or 4 people, so the market is there, but small...usually paladins or clerics. Additionally, you are usually competing with the Human smiths, so your small market even has competition.

i have been making rigid steelweave on my server for a while now and if your server is anything like mine you will have a good market i have a hard time keeping it stock i make like 3-6 sets a week but for the imbued stuff you not going to sell alot i don't even make any unless i know someone is going to buy it i just keep a few stacks of imbued topaz , amber and black pearls in the bank for when i need them so yes folks will buy the erudite stuff just not of erudites 98% of the stuff you sell will be to humans halfelfs and frogs

As an Erudite SK, I may be biased but
the absolute lack of Erudite cultural in the bazaar is what led me to do tailoring in the first place, just to equip myself. Now, tailoring has taken me so long to raise skill in that I have better gear than I can make myself. However, the one piece of cultural (non imbued BP) that I DID have, I bought and sold for about 5k MORE than everyone else's cultural armor. It's just darned RARE to see it. So, I think there IS a viable, but small, market out there for it. Although I may be biased because my main is an Erudite SK and I have an evil Erudite cleric also, so I spent much, much time hunting it--and never finding it--in the bazaar.
Btw, Morph, I play on Tunare also, and I'm working my tailoring up too, so you're not the only Erudite heading for mastery there...and judging from the amt. of Tempest robes I see in the bazaar (can anyone tell I spend a LOT of time in the bazaar?) there are quite a few of us. So perhaps they learned a lesson a while back to not make the cultural armor; I just don't know. However, I would make it in a heartbeat if I had access to enchanted ore (I'm unguilded), just for some darned variety. I don't find the cost of making it all that prohibitive, since I'm used to buying pelts/velium/acrylia anyway. I suspect it would sell at a very good price, but it might sit on your trader for a bit. If i get some enchanted ore, I'll let you know just how viable it is...Tempest robes are great but there are a LOT of them out there. Not so much steelweave. Close to none, actually.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the matter, not so much as someone who has made/sold Erudite cultural, but as a potential customer wanting some a few months ago. And thanks for helping fund my tailoring some months back...you bought quite a few of my excess bamboo shoots off my trader

There's one GM Erudite on FV as far as I know, and she quit, but the idea of being a tailor to make your own armor is what pushed me, too.
I've always felt, but never did the numbers--Erudite cultural is a lot cheaper to make per combine if you can get Terror Silk easily than a lot of other races.
- Cheap Gems (Amber, Topaz, Black Pearl)
- Gold Thread + HQ ore instead of say, Velium Rings
But that's just me. I don' tmake the stuff yet because I can't get blue diamonds reliably yet, and Tailoring's only 170.--"Captain" Antoin Nolouj

Ok first of Paniscus needs to die x100000000. and you have to tell me how on earth you foraged 4 stacks of bamboo.
The tempest robe market is slow, I sold at least 20 robes.
The other problem is that I have to level up my own erudite to imbue those stupid gems. I'm currently working on the black pearl so i got a erudite cleric worshipping prexus.

Bamboo shoots
Hubby is a druid!! And we spent almost all of our time lvls 34-42 or so in Stonebrunt for experience, pelts, and Titans. So we killed a TON of pandas, and hubby foraged up a ton of bamboo. At one point my stash got so ridiculous I had to unload for bank space. It was a sad day when we outlevelled that place
