  • New Halfling Rogue GM Tailor on The Rathe

Well, after a long and arduous journey and countless hours of farming all of my materials (except those few that were given to me by friends), I have finally reached the end. And a fantastic journey it was hehehe

Starting somewhere late October last year after having a Tailoring of 115 for about a year I caught the tailoring bug again and have basically been non stop farming and combining since that time. Although work and burnout kept me from reaching this point sooner *grin*

You have become better at Tailoring! (250)

*cheer* *smile* *hops up and down with glee*

    **********
My final skillup run started at 229. I had collected items for 260 Acrylia Reinforced Gorget combines and 226 Arctic Wyvern Mask combines, which would give me 20 combines per skillup of Acrylia Reinforced and 28.5 combines per skillup for Arctic Wyvern.

Stats for the run are as follows. Wisdom was 238 with GM Needle.

    229 to 230 - 41 combines
    230 to 231 - 24 combines
    231 to 232 - 8 combines
    232 to 233 - 28 combines
    233 to 234 - 4 combines
    234 to 235 - 33 combines
    235 to 236 - 1 combine
    236 to 237 - 22 combines
    237 to 238 - 7 combines
    238 to 239 - 21 combines
    239 to 240 - 5 combines
    240 to 241 - 27 combines
    241 to 242 - 2 combines

At this point I switched to Arctic Wyvern since Acrylia Reinforced became Trivial.

    242 to 243 - 16 combines
    243 to 244 - 16 combines
    244 to 245 - 20 combines
    245 to 246 - 49 combines
    246 to 247 - 4 combines
    247 to 248 - 25 combines
    248 to 249 - 9 combines
    249 to 250!! - 1 COMBINE!!

I wish I had kept stats on all of my skillup runs on my hardrive somewhere as I could have kept a total average overall of the entire run from 115.

Total number of Acrylia Reinforced Combines was 223 for an average of 17.15 per skillup.

Total number of Arctic Wyvern Combines was 140 for an average of 17.5 per skillup.

    **********

Additional information... I never had a Wisdom over 250 for any skillup run. I think the highest I had at any time was 243 but I don't quite remember. I also guess I was one of the lucky ones as I never truly had a hell level. The highest number of combines I made for any skillup was about 80. With most of the tough skillups for me being between 35 and 50 combines which were not alot.

I believe I averaged around 16 or 17 combines per skillup throughout my run to 250.

Anyone want some leftover tailoring items? *giggle*

I'm through combining for a while.... it's time to get some EXP!!

P.S. btw, you CAN make quite a bit of plat farming your own ingredients. Just don't let the corpses rot with everything else but what you want on em. Sell everything else to merchants they are not too far away from any farming location

      Woot!

Woohoo, WTG Paackets!! That's my favorite thief!

You forgot the #1 tip for high level tailoring, though: If you're a level 60 thief (thought I was gonna say rogue, didn't you?) and you're farming hopper hides in DSP, and you see a level 40 druid /ooc that she's LFG, make sure you let her leech exp off you while she snares and fears.

Which really makes you think... In the time it took me to get level 57 from level 40, 6 AA, and my epic, you went from 115 to 250 tailoring. Wow. 250 tailoring... now THAT is an accomplishment.

I might have to take you up on that... In some strange fit of insanity, I started the 8th shawl quest. Yes, I have indeed lost my mind. =P

So yea, all of that long message was basically just to say one thing...

      GRATS!!!!!
