The new zone(Nedarias Landing) is full of bears and wolves. Didnt see any panthers, but really didnt look hard. Got a LQ/MQ/HQ skin off every animal I killed. All were green to a level 65 and took only a few bardic blows to kill them. A ranger with me got a new forage(well I never saw it before) and a plant shoot.

Lushissx -- from the EQ Atlas map of Jagged Pine Forest, based on your description, I would say it is what is labeled as "blocked tunnel"...
I presume this is up on the live server... or are you on Stormhammer (aka Legends)? Maybe you are on the Test Server?Brother Krazick Bloodyscales 65th Trial Scaley Transcendent

Was able to zone into Nedaria using the little red glowy thing that usually ports you back into Surefall Glades. Don't know if this is the proper way of getting there though !
*edit * Woops, forgot to mention.. My druid ( max forage etc ) only found Jaggedpine forages and all animals seemed to follow same faction thing as Jaggedpine also. Green to a 53 also. Really pretty zone.

Note that extensive hunting there has confirmed that there are no faction hits for hunting in this zone.
(I'm excluding the two NPCs at the wayfarer camp from this discussion because they are red to me at 60 and I don't see them as a potential source of pelts for padding.)

It's also apparently semi-bugged (possibly not on all servers) and doesn't give any xp for kills even when it should.Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

I also got a bit of griffon meat for baking, and an odd assortment of other things that don't seem to be tradeskill related. Most seemed to be merchant fodder, but a few were no drop.
Given the high rate of drops for high quality bear pelts off the bears (it's at least several times higher than it is anywhere else I've ever hunted bears for pelts) it's possible that there will be a flood of the pelts onto the market on any server where hunters choose to farm them. On any server where that happens this could have an effect on the supply of tailored backpacks that gradually forces the prices down.
Keep in mind that these days there are scads of tailors with skills far higher than needed to make backpacks. Since the only two things needed to make them are an inexpensive pattern that is available in unlimited quantities from merchants in or near pretty much every starter city and the pelt, the availability of the pelts is the only thing that limits the supply of the backpacks flowing into the game. If that supply rises significantly then the price might very well fall.Uncle Shmoozo

You must have ahd lucky nights then. I mapped the zone and documented all the flora and fauna, then spent about 3 hours slaughtering stuff, came out with 4-5 pelts total. No forages but the normal stuff and JP quest stuff (nodrop)
Edit:: Due to the pain in the butt it is to get there, I'll stick to Stonebrunt for now.

Due to the pain in the butt it is to get there, I'll stick to Stonebrunt for now.
If you can't get a port there, just use the Paineel stone in PoK, and make the quick run through Paineel and The Warrens to get to Stonebrunt. You can get back the same way, of course.
Another good thing about Stonebrunt is the fact that there are merchants right there in the zone up in the Keran village, and also merchants and a banker one zone away in Gunthak and it is easy and safe to get to them. Getting to merchants from Nedaria's landing involves a potentially dangerous run through Jaggedpine.Uncle Shmoozo
