I am in the process of skilling up my cleric for preparation of doing the Shawl quests.
As I don't have plat to throw at skilling up quickly, I prefer to farm the parts myself. To this end I use a 37 ranger and slaughter lions/spiders in EK. This has the added bonus of foraging tea leaves/plains pebbles.
My question is would it be better to save the pelts for padding (smithing) and pottery (poison vials ) ? The reason I ask is I average 10 silk / 2 HQ pelt / 1 MQ pelt.
With many of the newbie zones dropping quest stuff for low level armour quests, I find drop rates there far too low. I know I can use pelts from 57 -115 skill but if silk is so much easier to collect...
Or am I missing some better zone to farm pelts ?
Thanks in advance
