  • What to do 162+

    First a little background..
My tradeskiller is a lvl 35 halfling druid. Current skill is 162.
I have about 10K in the bank to spend. I am on EMarr server

I started making studded acrylia masks, but this seems too expensive (bought components in bazaar). I was thinking cultural armor, but HQ brute hides and acorn oil are nearly non-existant in the bazaar. Is there anyplace I can solo farm these items at my level (I have decent equip and access to lvl 54 shammy buffs)

I know tailoring is time consuming and expensive, but is there a better, faster way I should be looking at? What about ribbons, would they be a better route?

    Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks

ribbons are good up to 188 but they require foraged items, which you can do easily, and a ribbon from gunthak. only problem is you'll spend 10k long before you hit 180. culutral for you isn't a bad path. you can solo a lot of the brute and the acorns are easy to forage as well. i made a hfl dru just so i could make haversacks for guildies. currently i'm still doing crystalline but going to be doing wu soon and then cultural. luckily my guild gives me all the hq brute hides so i jsut gotta forage the acorns. if you really wanna test your luck go forage the tuft of hair from thurg and start makeing the bags. you might be able to sell some of the 4/6 slot bags to recoup costs

Go to Dawnshroud peaks. Find a group that is hunting the tribals. Grab all the Acrylia you can get your grubby hands on and create Small pieces of acrylia and then Acrylia studs. At times acrylia seems so rare to find, you will proabably consider pimping yourself to the tribals..just as long as they pay in acrylia!!

You will need about a bagazillion of these. Maybe two.

When you have gathered all these you should be of sufficient level to wander over to the rockhopper caves. There you want to spend quite some time hunting for superb pelts.
Now you can make Acrylia studded armor that will take you to 188. What you want to make depends. For profit; cloaks (4 studs). For saving time; masks. (1 stud)

You will also want to save ALL flawless rockhopper hides since these can later take you all the way up to 242. You also have a tough decision; the recipe also calls for a small brick of acryla to be used. SO it is either make two small pieces out of the small brick, or make acryla boning for later.

Personally, I would make acrylia boning and save it for later.

      Good luck to you.

Thanks for the quick response and excellent advice.
I was able to get some HQ Brute hides from my guild and I foraged some acorns. I got 3 skillups in 10 combines which was pretty awesome! (about 1 in 3)
I still have some small pieces of acrylia left. I think what I am going to do is port between dawnshroud and misty. Forage when I am low on mana and then port back up to kill rockhoppers.
This was I can alternate between studed acrylia and cultural and keep it from getting too boring (and hopefully save my wrist a little)

By the way, where is the best place to hunt for HQ Brute hides when I run out of those?

I will keep you updated. Thanks

I just skilled 163 & 164 making Soft Fur Padding for the 8th shawl. Not exactly cheap if you are buying the fur's, but it's pretty nice bonus if you need to make them any way.
