  • Bridge gap between 188 & 248 for non-casters/culturals?

How does one bridge the gap if your not a member of a race who can do cultural tailoring and your not a magi caster who can do the robes?

I only see the quiver, and thats not something you can do tons of to skill up.

So are you then stuck doing the solstice robes and hope to fail on higher up?

Wish they'd put something in there for those of us who cant take the 2 easier routes to bridge the gap. May ease some of the inflated price gouging for the items for acrylia and flawless hides.

Simple answer is - You cant. There is no bridge.

I think SOE are currently looking at the gap for those races that cant do Robes. This can only be a good thing.

But i really dont think it will ease any inflated price gouging, the gougers will just expand their supplies to cover what you need for the new stuff.

There is and always has been a bridge. Any velious tailoring. Othmir and Arctic Wyvern are the easiest. Sure it can get expensive, but it is a viable route.

Then there is also the Solstice Robes. You can do these to 210 fairly easily. You will probably want to stop around 210 since you will start going through chains more often.

I am currently at 205 doing robes, and the chains are getting painful already. (and I can make my own chains)

When folks talk of a Bridge I think that they are looking for something simular to the LDoN Smithing armors that were just put in the game. Something that would smooth out the trivial progression. Currently in Tailoring there is no smooth path for races that do not have either cultural or int casters. Dwarves spring to mind as an example. You can get up to 188 on the LoY ribbons And Acrylia IF you have the items or buy the items from someone to make them however after the Studded Acrylia goes Trivial there is a 34 point gap till trivial on Fleeting Quivers then another 20point gap to the Acrylia reinforced armors.

Smithing and other Trade skills have a more smooth progression without the huge jumps between trivials.

I've been doin Solstice robes and my skill is 204 atm.
I did about 40 Reinforced acrylia masks and that yielded 3 skill ups to 200.

I'm a dorf and its a hard skill to raise but since I had it easier then most with smithing i'm not gonna complain much.

Fortunatly I raised my other skills so I can use them to make money and buy the things I need for combines.

If you dont have the money to burn. Pharmin is your only real option for alot of tailoring past 200.

Seems everything in EQ, quest or skill, has a time sink built in.
            With trades its tailoring.
