acrylia ?

where is the best place to farm acrylia, im currently working on Acrylia studded for skill ups. I've been told Acrylia Caverns but in 2 hours there i have gotten 2 large bricks :P any other suggestions, im a lvl 63 shaman on the rathe.

Umm, there's this place called acrylia caverns. Ever heard of it? If not, why not?

Try reading some posts before asking such things. There's probably over a dozen posts on this site asking the same question and additionally, there is a little search engine from the main page; use it, learn it, consider it to be your friend. There are also search engines here in this forum, at allakhazam, everlore, and any other number of websites dedicated to this game; use them, learn them, consider them to be your friend.

Maybe you had some really bad luck or something because I have been into Acrylia Caverns a few times and gotten alot of Acrylia in different sizes. I've also gotten some Black Acrylia.

Acrylia caverns is probably best overall.. but drops are as streaky as anything else. Blue aliens in TM drop fairly common too, but their is less of them (and more really annoying agro mobs).

There are a number of other post on acrylia, other places to get them, some may be better suited for your playing style... AC is kind of a long, drawn out, boring, deathtrap at times soloing.. not that that scares us tailors.

it's sort of like this:

people should learn to help themselves before asking for the help of others.

It's sort of like the people in /auction channel on our server: How do I make blank; the answer to which of course is too long and too complicated to try to explain buy having a conversation with someone in game about and which might lead to carpal tunnel syndrome if you attempted to do so; the answer to which is always contained in the recipes section of the main website. I tell them the same thing: eqtraders.com. If someone can't go to the trouble of visiting one of the many websites dedicated on how to play this game to first try to answer their question, then they have no business trying to do what they are doing in the first place.

He already said he'd spent time in AC and was looking for somewhere else. Thats a perfectly valid question. Alla's has nothing on actual drop rates for things like this. He was looking for a place to hunt that someone else might have uncovered.

Being a long time resident here, I know where you are comming from. I find that at times I want to write the same sort of thing that you do..

However, as Chenier tried to say... the way your initial response was worded, was unnecessarily rude. There are people that come here for the first time seeking help. They don't know what all is available... and we try to be polite and provide them "pointers" to the answer they are seeking.

The best thing to do when you feel like writing such a response again... is:

Write it.. but... DO NOT POST IT.

Get your fustration out by speaking your mind... but DO NOT post the response.

Step back, and let someone else reply. Or after writing it the blunt way... try and rephrase it politely and calmly.

Now in answer to the initial question:

The answer could be either "Bazaar".. "Acrylia Caverns"... "Teneroubous Mountains".. etc.

What the site here does not do is list "Farming Locations". And we likely won't. The closest we will do is "Sources", which is not really the same.

When people want to "Farm"... they want to collect stuff at low risk, and at a high rate... which means far below their level. And our zone/mob information does not, and likely never will, contain level or difficulty information. Nor will we track "drop rates"...

We were all very green to Tradeskills at somepoint and we all have asked questions..... it's okay.

/pokes fun at Zand: Is it too much of a time sink to answer the question? /snicker Okay, so my daily busting on drtyaty is out of the way.

AC is pretty good, but as it was previously stated it can be streaky. The 2 caves in TM can be decent, more so if you have them both to yourself. I'm sure you can solo those just fine, jumping from camp to camp. But in all honesty, it's best to just go farm a drop for plat (63 shammy shouldn't have much problem with that), then shop in the Baz. I find it takes less time.

I tried to keep my identity on this thread sacred cause I thought the poster needed a dose of what I had to say; now here you come in ruining it Filobeto. Bah, I'm gonna have to start using a different screenname on other boards; this hasn't been the first time I got called out, lol. But, if I do that, I'll more than likely forget what my username is, lol.

I also agree with Filobeto's post; you will be far better off leaving the farming to lower levels or someone not as smart as Filobeto and I, lol. Occasionally I will farm, but not likely. You will be far better off camping a rare, exping, or camping a rare & exping.

This isn't always true though. I perfect example is cobalt cod. People expect way to much for that in the bazaar. What I do is fish for the cod and beg for wyvern hides or offer to play a price which is usually far more reasonable than some people want in the bazaar (20pp is usually the most I will pay in the bazaar for wyvern hides).

Here is the Acrylia.

This is what you can do:

Go to Dawnshroud Peaks. There you can hunt the Tribals. Every once in a while they drop anything from a small piece up to a Block of acrylia ore.

You get there by taking the north exit in the Nexus. This takes you to Netherbian Lair. Just follow the main hall until the end and zone. You are then at DSP.

Yesterday I spent around 4.5 hours there going between Griegs End area and Maidens Eye.
My net result was 32 small pieces, 6 large bricks. 4 small bricks and 3 blocks.
( I am a 53 Necro and usually try to kill off 2-3 at a time. my info on drops could be a bit off since I am on FV server where the Trivial Loot Code kicks in.)

If you are willing to spend some money on it, also check the vendors near the "Mushroom building" in the SE area of the zone, quite often they have a few bits 'n pieces of acrylia on them.

Three things to realize:

1. This zone can be Tough! Some monsters have large aggroranges and good HP so they can bring you down if you get a few of the wrong kind on your tail.

2. This is the home of many players in the levelrange of 30-40. If you are farming and they show up, let them have the area since "farming" is not allowed per game rules if others are there to gain XP. Instead ask if you can buy what they find in the way of Acrylia.

3. You might be tempted to kill the "Age old Rockhopper" to get Tribals to spawn in the cave in hopes of finding more acrylia. It is not worth it. They rarely drop any. (I believe I have had one small piece drop in about 150 kills in the cave.)

Actually, I found the drops to be better in The Deep than in Acrylia Caverns /shrug
