Sorry about all the noob questions, guys. I really appreciate your patience.

One of my buddies online handed me a few grizzly bear skins that he thought I might be able to use for tailoring some bearskin potion bags. But it occurs to me that there's a distinct naming difference between a "Grizzly Bear Skin" and a "Thick Grizzly Bear Skin."

Question is, what difference?

I've looked in the archives and in the databases and I can't seem to find it. I could always try it out and see if it works.... But I figured I'd ask here first to see if someone knew. Ideas?

A while back when they introduced the 'newbie' quests for low level armor, they had included the Grizzly skin as a component in one of the quests, in their infinite wisdom, instead of making a new skin for the quest, they changed the existing potion bag recipe to use a thick grizzly skin rather than the normal grizzly one.

To sum up, Thick Grizzly Bear Skin is the useful one to tailors....the other one got changed to be used in a quest.

Right, great information. Sorry if I wasn't clear though. I can make the potions bags and have (tailoring skill still low enough not to trivial this). The question is, what do I do with the plain Grizzly? Big stuff there and it takes up space.

If it's for newbie armour, which newbie do I gift/sell/bribe them to take? Or should I make an alt that can use them? Right now they're taking up space and I hate disorder. And from what I've seen in the bazaar on Stromm they don't sell all that quick.

While you might be able to find some low levels looking for the grizzly for their quests, most likely you'll just end up selling them to the vendor.
