  • Highest level Cultural robes successes

Ok I am a dark elf and currently have 220 tailoring and a geerlok. I tried 2 robes of abrogation and failed.

Anyone know when I have a decent chance at success? I plan to skill up soon but was looking for some quick bank since the words of abrogation are really common now. Be no time before the robes flood the market, and wanted a jump. Any info regarding your skill and success rates on highest level plat ribbons robes would be appreciated.

At a skill of 209 + geerlok I succeeded on 5 out of 9 of the human highest platinum robe (Robe of Capacity).
    Hope this helps.

I've never failed a Robe of Tempest (sixth Erudite robe), at skills ranging from 228 + geerlok to 250. About 16/16, if I remember correctly.

With a geerlok, I'd expect 75% success at around 210. Judge for yourself whether that's good enough for your purposes and your market.

I have yet to fail Robes of Misery (Iksar) in about 10 tries, earliest being around 240. My theory is that the level 5 robes would be trivial 252 if we could skill that high and teh level 6 robes 262. It would seem to follow the pattern from the first 4.

Thanks for the input. I tried 2 more today at 224+ geerlok, was 2 for 2. I guess i just hit a bad streak with the 0 for 2 at 220 with geerlok. Will start cranking them out, have 7 more words waiting to be swatched and plan to buy at least 19 more as long as they are under 200pp each for the words.

Happy tailoring and thanks for your data.

12 for 13 here at 250 on the DE one, 2 for 2 prior to 250 (from like 238 up)... trivial can't be much more than 250 on them.

Went 7 for 7 today on Robe of Abrogation at 225 plus geerlok, so yeah the trivial is not much over 250 at all.

Please don't hate me, but I am 10 for 12 making robes of capacity (6th human robe) with the shears and tailoring around 190. Since hitting 192, I now only make ethereal swatches and cured ethereal energy (at 191, you get the message that you cannot combine it, but at 192 with the shears you may).

That night I failed my first one, but I have made 10 straight since.

Made 2 robes of virtue at 225 with no problem.

Where are you getting words of abrogation? They are not common on Rodcet Nife and rarely for sale in the Bazaar.

I'm really jealous that INT casting races have a way of actually using those ribbons...

Probably about as jealous as non-cultural tailoring races have been with us Wood elves, Halflings and Erudites. (g)
