  • Blackpanther Skin Armor ( Question )

    Hey all

Are people Still makeing Blackpanther Armor ? Is Blackpanther Armor Still a sought after Item? Or has it fell by the wayside , with Luchin / PoP ?

Im trying to determine If there still exists a Market for this Armor, by peoples feedback. Im getting closer to being able to try a few Combines, And have always wanted to make a few Items for myself, But wondered if this is worth making a few extra Items to try too sell.

Everyone hates being hung up with items that just dont sell, Or are Very slow sellers.

    Thanks in Advance

Less then a week ago I made 3-4 each of the arms, shoulders, legs, and boots. A couple nights ago one person bought 1 of each except the shoulders for 1500pp each. Other then that no sales.

Boots and leggings are still moderately viable.. i'll sell one of those on occasion. With the rest, you'd have to find monks who are willing to sacrifice ac ans strength for agi... which soem are.

On a related note, about what skill level does it take to start having a semi-decent chance of success? I've been hunting tigeraptors and panthers since the drop rate seems pretty decent, and they never seem to be camped (I hate quibbling over spawns when I could be peacefully slaughtering and foraging alone in the zone). I care more about skill-ups but if I can recoup some portion of the cost of tailoring all the better.

          ThankuVm

          Thanks all for the Input

A RL friend that has played a monk himself , has comfirmed yoru thoughts Moraganth concerning sacrificing some STA/AC for the AGI. He admitted that he would of been willing too Go for stat's Vs AC etc had he had a good boost in those catagory's. Well wish me luck~

I found it very viable after 220 skill or so. I could buy parts in bazaar and sell the results at a profit. I reserved one backpack on my trader for black panther stuff and usually sell about one piece a day, for 700 to 1000 pp each... but sometimes a person will buy five or six pieces. The belts, mask, gorget don't sell but boots and other visible pieces do.

I made very very very many bracers skilling up in the 240's and do not have many left to sell but am selling them in the 250-275pp range as that is the going price on Terris-Thule. I made about 100-200 when i say I made quite a few, and I have about 20 left they sell but slowly. The only other piece I make are tunics which still sell in the 1500-2k range but sell slowly about 1 a week.

while it may not be 100% accurate.. a good rule of thumb for velius leathers is:

At 205, you'll have a base chance to succeed (5%).... and each point over that your chance for succese will increase a point (ie: at 234, you'll have a 34% chance for success).

Over time (give the rng), you'll have roughly that ratio of successes. It seems, which may be me personally.. or my lack of a large enough batch, that haze panther is slightly harder.

                  Speaking of Haze Panther

Ok heres another one for you all

Whats everyones thoughts On the "ROG" only "Haze" Panther armor?

Im sure that this too was Prolly A very exclusive armor, reserved for the elite of ones server. Is this an Armor that has De-Graded over time/expansions ? Im wondering if this is a Sought after Item?

I know from hunting these, that getting a Pelt drop, can take a Minor miracle.

Thanku all Vm for all of your comments, Your imput is very helpful.

I loved the haze panther armor. I wore nearly an entire suit of it. Blah blah blah low ac, don't worry. It sells, and sells well (at least it has for me). I soloed my rogue to 46 wearing (most of the time) this stuff, so pay no attention to the nay-sayers. Also, it looks absolutely wonderful: a deep blue motif, with some dark greens (look at the back of the skullcap). Some items are much better than others. I still wear two pieces actually: skullcap and boots. Other nice pieces are tunic, leggings, sleeves, gauntlets. I never bothered with the other pieces, that I can remember.

                    (I hope this helps some.)

The haze panther set generally has better overall pieces than the other sets. Each of the veliuos sets has a few items that are decent and usable, albiet some are pretty common now. With the advent of the incredible (incredibly stuipd, as well) item mudflation that pop caused, throwing the entire game out of balance, most the good velious leather pieces are now mid level items at best
