  • naomi - rocks

I had the great privelage of meeting naomi once in game - at the time I was a struggling tailor of around 190ish skill.

course this was right before loy when it became easy to get tailoring to 200 - I was in the bazaar -auctioning selling some of the smaller halfling bags and she sent me a tell

" you want some components for your tailoring skill"

of course I did, and I met her at the bank. It took me a few moments to realize who she was, and when I did I was quite happy to meet her in person -the real live naomi handed me soemting in the range of 8k worth of components, saying she was retired from tailoring

My eyes watered, I had never seen a yew leaf before, let alone a yew leaf tannin -

Now I am a GM tailor, and I have combined everything that I have ever gotten my hands on - and I must say without a doubt, velious tailoring is by far the worst type known to halfling.

To think that she Gm'd on velious is amazing - and quite a feat.

These days anyone with the plat to spare is becoming a GM , solely for the Aid Grimel quests - kinda cheapens the skill, look at the prices of solstice robes these days -

But i am proud to be a GM tailor for me it was the greatest achievement for me (better even than dinging 65).

So to all you struggling tailors out there - stick with it, keep at it, and realize it wont happen overnight. If you want to be 250 tailor it will and it Does take time.

And if you have a bad run, dont get discourage, just go xp for a few days or do something else, take a break. But go back and you will find as I did just how rewarding gm tailoring really can be -

    best of luck keep tailoring

aye... i'm sooooo glad i have halfling cultural tailoring to fill some gaps.. i'm holding off on wu's as long as possible!!!

I just realized that i've skilled up on soo many other trade skills just to get my tailoring up for the allmighty halfling holy grail (aka: haversacks) and have spent a smack load of plat on smithing alone.... *sigh*

      /salute

250 in brewing with a trophy! All other trade skills? /sigh don't ask.
      Magelo to see my junk.
