  • Runes of the Inverse

I have been collecting these for the Erudite cultural robe, and they appear to be fairly common and cheap on D.R. server. The fact that they are fairly cheap, as compared to the dew clover required for the Robe of Dew, leads me to believe they are a fairly commonly dropped item.

I would like to know if anyone is aware of the best place to either a) vendor farm them, or b) farm them off of mobs.

    Any help would be fantastic.

Additionally, if anyone knows the easiest mobs to kill for the dew clovers, that would also be wonderful (think I read A Sun Reverneants in the Gray or something). I saw some golden beige ribbons for sale in the bazaar, and bought them up thinking I could use for the loy robe, but the cheapest I have seen the dew clover for sale on our server is approximately 1k; so, I may be eating these since I am sure the robe itself may not sell for 1k.

    Thanks,

Sadly, the old world research things are random drops in a lot of places. Your best bet on any single type of old world research item (other than the few that are vendor sold), is to hit up high frequency vendors.. bazaar, pok.. maybe SH. Give then 2-4 days after each patch or downtime, then go diving. It's not the greatest imeadiate return (might get a stack totally), but it's better than trying your luck farming.

If the components you need are for sub 40 spells, also try CS and CC.... lots of components drop here, and are summarily sold off.

..... This is my stock answer for ALL old world research items. Old world research items are random drops, from random mobs of roughly those levels.

While you're asking for a specific one of the components, all old world ones are basically the same.

As for dew clover, and any of the post 50 components, the one thread you seen has a cumulation of what's been posted.. but these components are difficult to "farm" as well, for similar reasons.

I really don't think i'd be spending 1k per attempt to boost tailoring though.. that's a pretty massive commitment of resources.

Is there a specific thread you saw that you thought I was referring to?

The thread I was referencing was a thread at Allakhazam under the item description of Dew Clover. It merely provided a list of mobs who were known to have dropped the item.

I agree, I guess I will pretty much chock these ribbons up that I bought as a total loss. The dew clover seems far to difficult to obtain by farming and appears to be a very rare item. Addtionally, as I previously stated, pc's in the bazaar are asking 1k + for the clover, and I am not about to pay that.

Thanks for your input, and if you reply, thanks in advance,

You could always just resale the ribbons.. might go slow, but at least it's plat coming back.

http://mboards.eqtraders.com/upload/...&threadid=4627 here is the thread on these boards that has drop info for the 50+ componets.. it might give you more options on where they've been seen.

        Good luck

Using the Ribbons for Loy Robes

Thanks for the post. I was not aware of it, but after looking at it, rune of the inverse is not contained therein.

And I am not joking when I say I have not sold one of my other ribbons not used for cultural.

Not one, and if they were lower, they would be vendor foddler, which I am just about convinced they are. I have had them up on trader for two months or more and I am just about to sell them to a vendor just to get rid of them.

Runes of the inverse are very common are as words of the ethereal, so I will be making loy robes.

Your biggest competition to obtaining Runes of Inverse will not be other Erudite Tailors, but INT casters doing combines to turn in for experience.
