  • Fleeting quiver, real evidence pls

I looked through every thread looking for information confirming the haste that the fleeting quiver provides. The reason i ask this is I just made 3 of these on Stromm and would like to be able to put out the best information possible when selling them.

Reading the threads really did not give any real information. I saw haste formulas, i heard a lot of people say I think that the haste is 1/3 of the wieght reduction. I read that you take the first digit of the reduction and reduce that from the bows delay.
I read a lot of things, but nothing that seemed to be a confirmed number and no references to anything that had come up with a particular number.

I am not asking one to do the research for me, I will continue looking. If you do KNOW something that has been confirmed with some sort of test, or you infact timed it yourself over a good period of time it would be greatly appriciated. The best thing would be some information posted on a reputable site that states the haste or delay reduction as a fact, some thing set in stone.

I dont want to beat a dead horse, I just want to be able to give out good information adn not perpecuate rumors and BS people say just to sell something.

    Thanks for the help,

I don't know what the haste is for the Fleeting Quiver but as someone posted on another thread about this same question... "Does it really matter?" You know that the Quiver allows the user to pull arrows and shoot at a faster rate.

I think that about says it all.

You should do some research on Ranger's Glade - if anyone's gonna know, they will. =)

Yup. Check with the rangers. Many classes can't even use bows, and even though my paladin can use one, its been ages since he last touched one. Capping a combat skill at 75 has a tendency to discourage its use.

Rangers would be the ones who would be most likely to have documented this stuff. Its possible warriors have as well, but no one expects warriors to bow kite.

Thanks for ths suggestion of going to the Rangers Glade, they did indeed have the information I was looking for. And since I found it there I would like to pass it on here

The "Fleeting Quiver" gives what is called "quiver haste" meaning it only affects archery. This haste will stack with worn haste , spell haste, and bard haste until the haste cap is reached.

On Rangers Glade they also listed several tests that were conducted to detemine the amount of haste that was given by the Fleeting Quiver, the tailored quiver, a regular store bought quiver, and no quiver at all. All the quivers provide some sort of "quiver haste" which is equal to 1/3 of thier listed wieght reduction. For example the Fleeting quiver has a 60% weight reduction, thus 1/3 of that is a 20% "quiver haste". Like wise a store bought quiver carries a 10% wieght reduction, thus has a "quiver haste" of 3.33%. the tailored quiver has a wieght reduction of 22%, thus a "quiver haste" of 7.33%. Also noted there is no available quiver better than "The Fleeting Quiver".

Also discussed was the fact that "range" slot i.e. archery does not have auto-attack. So when the haste is discussed it is meant only in terms of how fast the range button will refresh, it is up to the player to click it, and as we know we are slow, so when adding up the haste on a bow, you cannot come up with a static number like you would be able to with a sword and a haste belt. Also lag and other factors will affect the players ability to hit the range key at every oppertunity and a the earliest possible moment.

So this is the answer to my question, and i will now be able to explain to players the facts. which are "hey it shots faster so buy it" LOL

Thanks for your time and good Luck
