I am 195 tailoring right, so I amin the midst of do reinforced armor by the armfuls. When I started this, I ran a search for other people selling the same thing. We basically agreed to keep our prices the same and not start a price war. This has worked very well for us, and I hope that we both can continue to finance our skill by doing this.

I of course know that the easiest way to make 250 is to get 1000 sostice robe combines together but would prefer to just do it the old fashioned way LOL.

What do you WANT from tailoring? Do you want plat? Do you want ingredients (this is more an issue for 200-230 tailors)? Do you want twink gear? Do you want new friends? What you should charge should be based on what you want from EQ

This reminds me of the first crafted item I requested another tradeskiller to make for me (Imbued Koada'al Falchion). I set up an appointment in advance, bought/hunted/foraged/brewed/imbued (the emeralds) for two sets of materials in advance (even bought an elven smithy hammer so the smith wouldn't have to go to bank or vendor to get one in case she didn't have one with her), went and picked her up, sow'ed her, ran with her to Felwithe and then bit my fingernails while she did the combines (she wasn't a GM yet - this was a long while ago).

When she succeeded, I plunked a stack of morning dew in the trade window when she gave the sword (her said she would combine for free if I brought everything).

I weilded that weapon with such pride for a long time. =)
