  • post 167 advice?

Despite doing a bunch of searches and reading tons of threads, I'm still not completely sure what my path post-167 should be.

    My current resources:

    Account #1: 63 shaman, 36 enchanter (243 JC), 250 brewer
    Account #2: 59 druid
    Friend's Account: 63 ranger & 35 cleric (tunare)

    2 stacks superb hopper pelts
    1 stack flawless hopper pelts
    some assorted acrilia blocks/bricks
    6 stacks imbued emeralds
5 stacks of tunare silk swatches
    12 stacks of silk swatches
20 or so velium hound furs

My short term goal is to get tailoring up to 200. I may decide to go all the way to 250 at some point, but at the moment I'm just trying to get to 200.

    So, specific questions:

    1. have people found it to be more cost effective to farm plat and buy pelts/acrylia in the bazaar (or ribbon combines) or to farm it yourselves? If plat, where? If ingredients, where?

    2. Should I try to make sellable acryilia studded (like the cloaks) or just make masks and vender them?

    3. Is it better to farm hopper hides & acrylia or do velious stuff?

    4. When do I do the solstice robe combines? (It appears that the current price for robes on my server is about 600pp.)

I guess, basically I'm asking you experts the following:

If I gave you my 2 accounts and you 2-boxed them, what would your plan be for getting tailoring to 200?

Thanks in advance for the advice!!

What I've been doing currently is just randomly farming ingredients and banking them. At some point in the not so distant future, I'm going to have to start doing some combines though!

i would forage with the ranger or druid, i'm also assuming you have the LOY exspansion, i'd make the essences nessesary with your brewer, than i'd work on the ribbons till tailoring is maxed for the ribbons

I am going through a similar experience. I am sitting on 187 Skill and doing combines of anything I can get my hands on. For your particular stash I would do:

Super rockhopper and Velium hound First (Lowest Triv)
Next I would buy/farm Dye components for platinum ribbons to 187
Then work on the Solstice robes

Beyond ribbons, it's a crud shoot (is cr@p a EQT no no word?)...you'll probably not get many tailors to reply because in the end, all the methods are hard, expensive and long and most of us ended up doing them all at one point or the other. And you'll get a lot of variance in resonders successes due to when they did tailoring and their server economy for buying the by-products of skill-up recipes.

So go with the method you feel most comfortable with (after ribbons) until you get sick of it and then do something else.

Tho, yes, do generally try to go for recipes that trivial lower if you can, but be sure to weigh that against ease and cost of components.
