can you get skill with PoP recipies?

My tailoring is currently 206.

I thought i was on to something... the trivial for the ether swatches was 212. So i started buying stands of ether off of every vender i could. Only to find that i couldnt combine the tannin that goes with it (Pop recipe as well) Found a guildie that can make the tannin, but of course, i cant combine the ether.

so 206 + geerlok is 216.3

209 = 219.45

210=220.5

am i able to go from 210 to 212 on these?

Once you hit 220 with a mod item you can get your 211 and 212 skill ups on them.

Fast answer : yes.

Slow answer : with better mod items than a geerlok, you can start earlier (for tailoring, the shears off Shei) and with worse mod items you can continue later (for tailoring, the Vah Shir quest cloak for ... erm, whichever class tailors).

What is this cloak you are referring to? Don't believe I have seen this referenced before.

The cloak quests are class specific but are doable by any race and the cloaks have 2%-3% modifiers for the different trades. Be aware that the highest cloak (Officer) in the quest progression has been changed and now is VAH race only with no skill mods.

Here is the Beastlord one with a tailoring mod. There are others for Warrior, Bard, Rogue, and Shaman.

never heard of the cloak, and im druid so no vah shir druids either. but does it stack with a geerlok? didnt think any % item stacked with another.

Sheers i dont have the means to even get CLOSE to looting the shears.

If you were born under a lucky star, you might see the Akhevan sheers, but it's a rare drop off a PITA mob, deep in the zone.

208 now

Skilling up using solstice robes has been darn painful. 60 attempts and 2 points. Last 4 points has been from nearly 280 attempts. thats about 70/skill

255 wis. +geerlok.

also my jeweler 250+trophy failed 75% of the chains for the robes. that was 4kp down the tubes. not to mention the bottom has fallen out on the selling price for the robes on TZ. have seen them for sale in the 400p's. down from 900-1k a month ago.
