MQ ore small pieces ?

I am just a 16 barb shaman but I was going to make a northman mace so I was going to buy 3 or six small pices of MQ to make a sheet. I checked the locations posted here and went to PoK, Qeynos, Shadow Haven and Baz and none of them carried small pieces. Just blocks of MQ ore and occasionally a sheet. Was my timing incredibly bad or has something changed?

The recipe for the northman's mace calls for a sheet of medium quality metal, which may be vendor buyable or can be made by combining 2 small bricks of medium quality ore per the recipe.

There is no need for small pieces in any of this unless you were going to make a small brick from pieces. Since medium quality pieces are not buyable (to my knowledge), you would have to buy small bricks and break them down to get small pieces.

I was going to go the cheap route and make the sheet from small pieces to small bricks to the sheet.

My point is that I could not find a vendor selling small pieces of MQ ore. All they sold was sheets, folded sheets and blocks of MQ ore. In the trade supply listings, all the vendors in the places I checked are listed as selling small pieces or may just small bricks of MQ ore yet I could not find any who sold this.

Is the game changed since the trade supplies were last listed? I checked PoK today again and notbody had what I wanted so I just bought a sheet. Has anyone else been able to buy anything other than blocks or sheets of MQ ore lately? Where?

The merchant listings are correct.

You do not buy small pieces of MQ ore.

Okay, for example, I went to Smithy Firehand in Shadow Haven yesterday and today and he did not have any MQ ore. I stand corrected that they are only supposed to sell small bricks. Is this just bad timing on my part? I thought with MQ ore the vendors would always have a supply of what is listed in Trade Supplies.

Have you tried Halas? as i seen some MQ ore there also a lady behind one of the shops sells the ore you could try her =)

The vendors stock only a limited supply of the HQ and MQ ores. Here is the quest to restock them. I can usually find the unrefined ores on vendors just by shopping around a bit in the PoK. The small works just as well as the large and is much cheaper - just over 2pp each for the small bricks of unrefined ore.
