Dark Prince Regent, why so much WIS ???

I've just broke the 200 barrier on smithing so was looking at Dark Prince Regent armour.
It looks like a reasonable skill route, and it is also an upgrade to the armour I am currently wearing.

But.... why does almost every piece have WIS, but almost none has INT ?
Does SoE just really really hate us SKs or what ?

I looked at the chain, and every part except one has INT on it.

Nah, but the DPR was put in game when they didn't notice SKs really.

It's also for... wait for it... INT casters.

I think perhaps it was made with WIS also for the large, well somewhat from what I see, number of Dark Elf Clerics?

Some of the pieces have INT as well as WIS. Just pick the pieces that work for you. You don't have to have a completely matching set -- that is what dye is for. I have the Dark Prince Regent BP and greaves, both of which have the same amount of INT as WIS. Personally I wouldn't use many of the other pieces anyway, like the bracers or the shoulders, because there are better options elsewhere with better stats and better AC (also DE SK, if you can't tell from the picture).

As Maisie said, I see a lot more dark elf clerics than I see dark elf warriors or shadowknights in the 50+ crowd anyway.

Look at black pantherskin tailored armor sometime for monks and beastlords; the mask, for example, is CHA 5 HP 15. You can make the argument that CHA is not a primary stat for either class, so why bother?

Believe it or not, not every item, even cultural, has to be tailored perfectly for YOUR class.

If you look at the old cultural, it has a bunch of melee stats and int for the unimubed stuff, where the imbued has 4-5 wis on each piece. Brilliant stuff for shadowknights and clerics.

The DPR stuff is less than impressive for shadowknights. As Zera said, pick the pieces - with the AC on DPR you can be less concerned with AC/HP/mana on other slots and focus on your stats.

No help for it I guess. I feel bad for the poor dark elf warriors that wear the stuff.

Ogre cultural is similar. The plate(for SK's and warriors) has wisdom on some of it and most of it has no INT on it whatsoever except for the set that can be worn by inny troll SK's ONLY( talk about a small market).

And the ogre/troll cultural for chain classes(read: shaman) has INT all over the place, but often little to no wisdom.

Very very strange.

Oh well. I don't think it matters anymore, now that ornate is dropping.

To go back to one of Angahran's comments, I'd strongly recommend you don't try DPR as a skill up route from 200. The materials are more difficult and expensive to buy/hunt than even Mistletoe Cutting Sickles, and in my experience the success rates are even worse.

When I (yeah, don't ask) dropped my DPR bracer on the ground and lost it my skill was about 215 and I figured I'd try to do the new bracer myself. BIG mistake. I must have sunk 15k into the stack or more of combines I tried. And that was with farming my own tempers and velium. Need I add that I ended up buying one in the Bazaar instead of torturing myself and my bank account further?

I may have just had really bad luck, but I'd personally rather have bad luck with Shadowscream that only costs me for metal rings and molds.
