This weekend I finally reached skill level 240, and made my trophy on the first try! Although I didn't keep exact statistics, my skill up ratio was almost dead on one skill up per 20 combines, that with Wisdom of 255 and a 5% geerlock hammer to help the success rate.
I mostly made Imbued Field Plate for skill ups, tho I did have a few runs of Shadowscream and Cutting Sickles in there. The number of skill ups on successes vs. failures was statistically about even. I usually got a skill up on a success when I made field plate, since I would succeed on the combine 19 times out of 20. I more often got skill ups on failures when making Cutting Sickles, since the best run I had on them before GM lvl skill only yielded 9 successes!
Now I can just let the last ten come naturally with sickles, heraldic and tae ew combines!
