  • Fine Seafarer's Ringmail Trivials

    Hey folks.

New addition to the world of tradeskilling here. (I figured I didn't have enough pain and frustration in my life yet!) Absolutely fantastic site. Big thank you to all those who contributed to it.

Anywho, on to my question, and sorry if this is already a dead horse or something. I did some searching, but couldn't find the answer. I'm hoping to make a set of Fine Seafarer's Ringmail (human cultural smithing - Freeport Forge) for myself in the near future, and I'm wondering what skill level I'll need in order to have a reasonable chance of successful combines. My understanding is that the formula for calculating success rates is roughly (Skill Level - (Triv Level * 0.75)) + 51.5%. The problem is, I can't find the approximate triv level for Fine Seafarer's. I know it's greater than 250, but are we talking like 280 or 5006? Anyone have a rough idea?

    Thanks in advance everyone!

All we can really say is that the Trivial Level for all of the pieces are above 250.

As for the success rate, there is no way to tell. You could do 100% success or 100% failure. Regardless of the "true trivial". And SOE won't give us any way to predict that sucess or trivial level.

    Sorry.

I tend to disagree partially, you can make some guesses based on experience for combines that trivial over 250, for example, I'm 29/30 for Leatherfoot Haversacks, and I made my first one at skill level 196. Based on my experience, the trivial cant be much over 250. In my mind I think of it as 251.

I generally assume that at around 235 with geerlok (modified 246) that I'll have a 40% success rate for items that trivial above 250, unless I have personal experience or reliable information that suggests otherwise (haversacks higher success, velious armor, gem studded chains are around 40% for me so far)

But again, these are just guesses based on experience, and guesses + RNG is pretty much chaos. My advice would be to just gather the components and hit combine, if it wont break your bank.

      Best of luck to you!
