im almost lvl 100 in smithing and my character himself is lvl 17. i reached 100 in less than 400 or 500pp. has ne one done it in less? if so tell me how. shock

Once you hit cultural needles you will actually earn back that 500pp you've already spent and maybe even make a few plat on them.
Most new smiths can get to 132 skill with a positive cash flow now. -
At level 17, you should be able to *make* money smithing while also getting reasonable experience. Simple way. Go to Gorge of King Xorbb (aka Beholder's Maze) and kill muddites. These drop ore in various sizes along wth clay. You can take both pottery and smithing to 122ish by saving all this ore and clay you get. You should also be able to hit level 20 off the muddites and minotaurs there. Do your smithing and pottery (if you can) in nearby Rivervale, but if you cannot, there is a PoK book in nearby Misty Thicket you can use to do your smithing and pottery in PoK.
