Easy on the lock button there, Cantatus. I wasn't asking about Froglok Cultural to start a rant, nor did I know that Absor had already stated there would be frog cultural. The reason I was aksing (and future responses, please avoid ranting) is I was thinking about starting a froggy smith, and wanted to hear others' opinions on whether this would be worthwhile (aside from the racial choice in the first place, hehe). At any rate, at least now I know there WILL be froggy cultural at some point, so that helps. Isn't shadowscream considered to be Vah Shir cultural? If so, that was worthwhile, if for no other reason that skilling up. Anyway, thanks for the vine.

Heya, a couple things to note:
Please DO take notice when a mod locks a thread, and don't immediately start up a fresh thread. If you have questions or concerns as to why something got locked, send a PM (not a public post) to either the mod that locked it or myself. They're operating under general orders from me, and it may not always be obvious to you why something was locked, but there's usually a good reason.
In this particular case, you hit a very flammable dead horse. Interesting mental image, I'm sure, but it was locked proactively because it was a very open-ended question with LOTS of room for the board trolls to get in ther and turn it into another SOE-bashing session.
You might want to be more specific in your questioning next time (such as your clarification above), not only to give the trolls less flame-fodder, but also to ensure that responses from the rest of the community actually address your specific concerns instead of covering anything and everything even remotely related to your question.
Again, and this goes for everyone, if you have issues with a moderation decision do NOT just start putting up posts complaining every time something is locked, but question us via PMs. We try to make sure there are valid reasons for the locks (as opposed to a bad hair day), but if you go confrontational against the mods on the public boards instead, you're likely to wake up my very protective instincts where my overworked mods are concerned.

If it is, they forgot to add the cultural forges and forgot to make it Vah Shir combinable only. Vah Shir are agnostic, have no imbues, and therefore no cultural.Isn't shadowscream considered to be Vah Shir cultural?
I think starting a frog smith is totally up to you, imo. Sure, if you get it to 250 smithing before they introduce the cultural you'll probably have the market cornered, but there seems to be a lot of other cultural the frogs can wear anyways. But it's up to you...if you want one, then make one.Retired -

To actually address the question some; I think the answer to your question, Eriadoc, has to do with what you plan to DO with the Froglok Smith. Is there something that appeals to you about specifically Froglok? If so, then go for it. If you want a good, all around smith and race really doesn't matter, then look at the stats and recipes and see what makes the most sense for you (likely to be either Ogre or Dwarf). Amount the only thing I can really suggest is to figure out first what you want the smith to do. If you find latter that you chose a combination that isn't best suited for what you want to accomplish, you'll regret the time and money spent betting to that answer.Morani

No, but halflings can have two at once.

Wouldn't that be three? Two feet, and a head.Originally posted by LiloshNo, but halflings can have two at once.Originally posted by MoraniFollowing my instinct to be a class clown here...

I guess dwarves could have one and a half -- upper head (hair) and lower head (beard). You can figure out which side gets the extra half.

I considered both feet as one day.
But I suppose my left foot could be fine, but I could have a cow lick my right foot.
Or was that a cowlick ON my right foot?
either way, sounds slimy.
Ack, what a hijack of this thread.

/em attempts to bring the thread back on topic.
I don't think there will be anything magical about being a Froglok GM smith. Frogloks can already wear lots of cultural armor now, and I can't imagine that the Froglok-specific armor that might be in the works would be significantly better than what is available to them now.
On the other hand, being a GM smith is cool. So, if you have your heart set on a froggy, and are into tradeskills, smtihing would be a good choice if you have the stomach for it.

Whatever happened to Absor's 'looking into this', anyway?
