Easiest, most non-painful way to raise Smithing...

Well, I worked on Baking last night for my now 18th level Bard and got that to 117 Mastery and would love to start working on Smithing for him. The question I have is pretty basic and if someone can point me to some advice I'd greatly appreciate it. What is the best and most non-painful way to raise smithing that is fairly easy on the pocket book?

I haven't decided which skill to bother taking to Grand Master yet but want to raise most of them up to at least mastery for when I start working on the shawl quests. Thanks in advance for any help.
