Smithing return question...

I'm a Vah Shir Beastlord on the Firiona Vie server. I have about a 30 in Tailoring (Main skill) and about a 21 in blacksmithing.

I have a bunch of medium quality hopper pelts and I want to go about making studded hopperhide armor.

When making studs do I get my file back, if successful or not?

Is there a section that lists items that get returned on success or failure?

Yes, you get your file back.

As far as having a section that says whether or not you gat an item back on a success or failure, I am pretty sure it is comprehensively covered in the recipes section of the main site (EQTraders). It should list all the possible recipes that you want to make both smithing and tailoring (as well as many others) and what is returned and what is kept. Happy Tradeskilling.

Studs trivial out at 35, so you might want to work your smithing up a bit more to reduce the failure rate.
