  • Race Specific Smithing Guides?

    Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has made or know of any smithing guides geared to specific races. I started using the economical smith guide to get me to 166, but as I am approaching 188 I am still not quite sure about what to do next. It talks about advantages and disadvantages with cultural versus shadowscream, but does not really go into detail what my cultural smithing (Dark Elf) would entail, at least not the level of detail that the rest of the guide has. I have found some discussion about DE cultural at this site, but nothing really that is in guide form that woud address specific aspects for my race.

For example, I am unsure how accepted I am in Shar Vahl as a DE, and dont know if any faction work would be required before I could start doing shadowscream. A comparrison on how easy it is to farm the supplies for the shadow temper used in my cultural compared to the shadowscream farming would also be nice. Perhaps a cost breakdown on the combines similar to ones in the earlier sections of the economical smith guide, and maybe a suggestion on how much to pay enchanters to enchant the adamantite.

I know it would be asking for a lot, but after seeing some of the other wonderful guides out there I figured someone may have done it. It would just be so convienient to have. Perhaps if there is none I will write one when I'm done, but I fear it will be a while since I have to gain 4 levels and then a few AA's before I can get my smithing above 200.

I dont think I have ever seen a race-specific guide.

Your best bet is to speak to a GM Dark Elf smith (possibly via cross-server tells or a msg via this Board) and ask them their advice. That's what I'd do.

Alternatively, check the trivals for the Dark Elf cultural stuff and then have a hunt around and try to work out how rare/expensive the temper components are!

Edit: Seeing as how its Luclin, the Shar Vahl may have no issue with your race. If they do, then try an illusion Vah Shir potion maybe.
