Finally finished fine plate today. It took 293 leather paddings, to go from 150 to 188. I averaged a skillup every 7.7 combines, but wouldn't you know the last one took 14 combines, and I had to go out and hunt down 5 more paddings to finish up.
Now the fun begins. I still have 3 howling substances left from the smithing quests, so I guess I can try a few SS before I head out to start farming again. :>)
