Maybe we need a better definition of lots. When I'm talking "lots of Iksar blood" I'm talking somewhere around 3-5 per hour of killing "alot" of spawns. "Alot" of spawns varries. In OS it means all 4 as soon as they pop. On windscorn it means clearing every spawn on the ship before repops. In Warslick Woods it means clearing as much of the zone as possible. If your looking for a full stack of Iksar blood a night, let me know when you find it 'cuse I've realy been looking.

Ya might want to define out how many hours "a night" is too.

      Blud

You would be lucky to get an Ikky Blud an hour even with a good group in Dulak. I have hunted there a few times, last night killed 20 Ikky's for one blud both dock and boat with a good group.

Remember you are up against the NRG here. If they made it more common they would have to increase the failure rate of CT sheild and weapons. Of course this screws Ikky Cultural makers (poor bastards).

But... this is absurd, how have iksar smiths been making their tempers, with such drop rates and no dulak?

Did the Windscorn with a cleric, my 62 at the time shaman, and my 60 monk. Wasn't the easiest thing in the world for us, but wasn't nightmarishly hard. The mobs take a while to kill and you can have to deal with adds in a very limited space, and worry about repops.

Of course we were a skeleton crew; a full group would have had it much easier and certainly killed more. But we did a decent job and killed lots of mobs and nobody died. We got three bloods in like four hours on the Windscorn. About 2250 to 3k worth of loot on my server for four hours work, which had to be split two ways. Just didn't seem worth it to me. I just buy my iksar blood now and try to earn money at a faster rate elsewhere.

Low level Iksars, the bandits and such in FoB, do NOT drop Iksar blood. Ever.

            Known sources of Iksar Blood:

            Iksars in Dalnir's Tomb
            Iksars in Sebilis
            Iksars in Dulak

                Exactly.

I had intentions of going for the 1750 club...well, 1950 if I include alchemy, but I really wanted to make my cultural.

I have 2 iksar blood to my name. Only got those from a guildie who's managed to get a few, and gives me what he doesn't need when I make lizard blood temper for him.

No way can I pay 500pp each on the rare occasion they show up in the bazaar.

Sigh...I so wanted to make my fearsome skyiron shirt.

                  i agree

iksar blood is way to rare but evey night in bazaar on inny server i see 10+ blood for sale but there olike 1k per blood ( and no one ever not afk to tell you where they got it.

I donno about other servers but on inny i know 5 iksar smiths and thats just people i run into out of the millions of iksars on inny.

so there are def iksar smiths out there, i went to dalnir last night and got 2 bloods in 30min off the corcead channler in dalnir, i know he a shaman quest dude but still. i an thinking maybee all the named iksar that spawn all over dalnir might drop it alot ).

I used to mass camp the zone with my 60 monk qand i think i remember getting b lood off that rare iksar necro spawn in the pool room i meen alolt of blood, but could be my imagination

also if they made the blood less rare it shouldent effect fail rate cause look at the other culture armor blood for that crap drops like crazy in about every old world zone grrr ( i am writing a letter to verant about this LOL not likeits gonna help

lets hope veksar has lots of blood in it *grin*

They can drop off of iksars as low level as those in LOIO, but EXTREMELY rarely. I have found iksar blood being sold my Nubs Blackgranite (supriused me, because at first thought it was sarnak blood!) a few times.

The Iksar Bandit Lord (Warsliks Woods)can drop some, but that's hardly an efficient way to farm it.

Basically your bests bets are just as named above. Any coerced iksars in Dalnir's Tomb, the iksar necromancers in NJ in Sebilis, and the iksars in Dulak (dock gueardians, also many on Windscorn and by the Torgiran Mines zone).

Stupid lizardblood tempers drove up the cost of iksar cultural smithing by a ton, and it already was a pain BEFORE we had to compete for iksar blood, hehe. Before CT revamp you could easily get iksar blood for 10pp a vial. Iksars would farm it for themselves and anybody else who got it thought it useless.

Why they decided lizardblood tempers had to use scale tempers is a mystery to me. They should just make the tae ew vials combine with celestial temper or something, keep tae ew profitable without screwing with iksar cultural.

P.S. Iksar blood sells for 150pp each on the average on my server. Iksar blood is rare but not 1k rare, hehe. Used to go for closer to 400 each until the price became an incentive for lot more people to farm for profit , or to farm for themselves to save the expense.

Well main reason why iksar cultural smiths are rare is because iksar cultural can't be worn by any non-iksar. Not even the non-imbued stuff. So that narrows your market a lot. (Only other race you can say that about, BTW, is gnomes; every other race that has cultural armor has at least one other race that can wear it.) Stats on it besides AC are more desirable for shamans than for the warriors and SKs, so really iksar shamans are the ones who want to wear the stuff. Also iksars have no bridge between fine plate and BD cultural: Cabilis scale trivs at 142, Imbued Cabilis Scale at 175, and Fearsome Skyiron at 250.

But the armor looks cool, hehe. I made a shaman just so I could have someone to wear the stuff as I made it. I'm a tradeskill nut and put all my tradeskills on my iksar monk, out of stubbornness than anything else I guess.

have been hunting for the bloods for smithing to raise skill and agree iksars got screwed once again but being an iksar warrior im used to it.
at 65 with a few AA's i cant solo in gunthak and this is the only place i know i can get the blood for the smithing,
so far i have tried lake of ill omen = nada
Emerald Jungle = nada from 30 ish
Field of Bone = nada from 100 ish
(fob named) = nada from 5 pops
sebilis = nada from 16 mobs

they sell in the bazaar for about 50 - 400pp i wont buy them for more than 60pp each and ive got a grand total of one stack so far
of about 2 stacks not exactly enuf to go for skill ups.

my advice? feedback ur pissed off and hope enuf iksars out tehre do the same this was a bad idea from the start and its not like the iksar cultural armor is overly powerfull by any means if you can make it u probably spent less on gear that is better at level 40 i know an iksar shaman friend is wearing comparable gear less AC than the fearsome at lvl 29

dont even get me started on the legionaire mancatcher

I was making Iksar Cultural (the 1st stuff, not the BD stuff) from the time it came out. I've been playing for about 4 years now and I've done a lot of camping for Iksar blood. I have never ever seen it drop anywhere but Dalnir (only off Iksar Necros, not the monks), Nurga BEFORE the revamp (was by far the best spot too) , Sebilis (Ikky jail) and off the bandit lord in Warsliks Woods. Many people claim it drops in Dulak but having only rarely hunted there I have never seen it drop.
I don't think Iksar tempers are that hard to make/collect components for. Essence of sunlight for human cultural is (IMO) a much bigger pain in the ass than Iksar blood.

The drop rate in Dulak is much better in that ANY iksar there can drop the blood, I think I got some Blood off the Captin of one of the ships if I am remembering right as well as his greaves.

I recently went to Dalnir to farm for Iksar blood myself. I spent about 90 minutes there and managed to find/kill about 20 or so Iksar coersers but not 1 blood drop.

I then went to Dulak and killed any Iksar I saw there. In about 2.5 hours I managed to get 1 Iksar Blood off an Iksar Dock mob.

I've never seen blood off Iksar bandits in FoB either.

Funny how Tae Ew blood vial goes for much higher price. In 30 minutes in Cazic Thule last night I got 2 Tae Ew blood vials, yet Iksar blood seems to be much more rare a drop and sells for half as much as Tae Ew on my server (Kane Bayle).

Hey SOE - please up the drop rate on this as farming this has been a total waste of time!
