human cultural smithing question

I have a question for the human smiths out there.

appropriate plate mold, smithy hammer, sea temper, leather padding, chain jointing, appropriate number of high quality folded sheets of metal

This is the recipe I am using and it says it does not combine in the container.
I am using the Freeport forge.

At first I had boon of the garou on, for the dex. On / Off it still gave the wrong container message.

Am I missing something?
Is there a cultural smithing hammer or should I be using a forging hammer?

Is it just regular metal rings and chain jointing

Looks right to me.

Make sure you are using medium sized plate molds, large or small will not work. Molds sold at Ithkar's in East Freeport are the correct size.

Make sure it is the forge up on the platform behind the warrior guild, not the one by the door.

Make sure you are using the right number of folded HQ sheets for the mold.

Chain jointing is as you describe it, make sure you are using regular ore, not enchanted.

Dex has no effect at all on smithing by the way.

Dont know if this is your problem, but a common mistake by people trying to craft Freeport cultural is they're not actually using the "Freeport Forge". The forge you want is behind the Steel Warriors guild, up on a deck, and is titled "Freeport Forge" when you open it. Alot of people seem to get confused because there is another warrior guild in the same zone (Freeport Militia House), that also has a deck with a forge behind it.
