Clarification on Tae recipe please?????

I am not sure i am reading it properly as the recipe is a little vauge. For the chain version of the armour do you need regular sheets of metal or the lizardscale plate sheets? ops:

You use regular vendor-bought sheets of metal for Tae Ew Chain.
