Sat down to do a run of shadowscream last night with 193 skill and enough components for 35 attempts. Was more or less expecting one skillup, hoping for two but not too optimistic.
Failed two humming orb combines, so 33 attempts at the armor itself.
Five skillups later, I had to walk across the room to pick my jaw up off the floor.
After the hellish runs I've had in the 190s in other skills, I was just ecstatic.
Of course, now that I've gone and blabbed about the RNGs largesse, I expect I'll be seeing a couple of points in the near future that take me 200+ combines. :P Knowing that the RNG is a right b*tch, I just know I'm being set up for something...
Had been figuring on doing 200+ tailoring before smithing, but after this, and considering that the Solstice Robe market has just cratered big time on E'ci, maybe I'll do smithing...
(Thus begins my downfall...)
