Str vs Int

I know that Str will work as your modifier for smithing.

Will poor str however nullify good Int/Wis.

Dark Elf Necros are weak as casters ya know

It is whichever of the three are the highest.
The ones which are not the highest don't affect anything at all.

So if your dark elf had 70 str, 100 int and 99 wis then int would affect smithing. No other stat would affect smithing.

If your dark elf had 80 int, 100 str and 79 wis then str would affect smithing, no other stat would affect smithing.

Whichever was the highest would affect the chance to gain skillups, nothing would affect success except the point value of the skill itself (like smithing.)

The only problem poor strength will pose is in moving around with ore.

My str is only at 94 and I had a good run of skillups from 192 to 195, with WIS at 254.

Poor strength doesnt hinder casters that much; bind at the forge and Gate <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/pichuchaorazz.gif alt="That was simple, wasnt it?">
If worse comes to worse, get a SoW, or snare yourself, and strafe to the forge <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/feliciachaohum.gif alt="That's what Sinuuyanea did...though, darknessing herself hurts.">

STR modifier = bazaar

If you have trouble running with ore, do your smithing skillups in the bazaar.
