Spawn point is from the death not the looting. Easy to test this when you are camping a mob that has a relatively fast spawn. Just leave the corpse there. If the next one is due in 5 minutes it pops in 5 minutes.

Funny. I kid not. Question though. Do you guys then run out and tag wandering mobs in the area? That can easily add a few more. Are you sure you are killing *all* the spawns? I count roughly 20ish+ spawn points where I camp. And then again, perhaps I am just **** lucky (droplist RNG and I are not friends, just ask the other guy I killed about 100 maidens in SG trying for anreiad shawl, though we were really waiting on FS to pop). I think, don't quote me on this though, that the number of people killing various things in the zone has an effect on the number of shades I get, via more kills = more eventualy spawns of shades. And I will add one thing I should have mentioned. I trade silks to people looking for those for shadows. That can sometimes offset my counts by a good bit. However, please dont call me a liar just because I have had good luck in farming them. I can't use yet anyway, so if anyone on Prexus wants 4 or so stacks that aren't on one of my mules, send a tell.

Shadeweaver kill all day long near the hole area only 1 stack , Thought luck is not with me so try for another 3 day same result. Alot of Shades spawn. But they just don't drop. Best place to farm is Twilight Sea.
( I see alot of proples saying 1-2 hour and 2-3 stack ) Sorry still can't comfirm it.

Just a little note for ya all: shade weavers thicket is one of the first zones to benifit from the newbie-ballance codes that have monsters spawn faster as more of them (zone wide) are killed. This was done to alieviate the problem of so many new kitties being added to the world at once (as they were) and all hunting the same zone (which they practicaly were). As more mobs are killed in the zone (by a substantial fraction) mobs are put on a shorter respawn timer. You'll start to notice the diffrence when you get 2 higher level characters farming shadelings and you'll notice your still busy chasing the little buggers around instead of waiting around bored because your only getting (supposidly) half of the spawns.
Also, as most should take into account, some classes are better as farming than others. A high level bard with any kind of AE damage song should clean this zone like nobodies business. I can certainly belive that a bard would be able to farm twice as much as a cleric, or monk. Honestly, I can't think of a better class in EQ for this situation. Main problem would be looting efficiently.Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*
