Hehe, actually platinum bars cost about what platinum ribbons do anyway. Platinum thread is twice that.

Never did figure out why you can buy platinum thread and erudite sewing kits in Cabilis, hehe... I always thought it must be an inside joke among the game developers or a motivation for erudite enchanters to get iksar faction. (You can also get silver and glod thread here, as well as "On Terrorantula Silk" that lists erudite cutural tailoring recipes.)

However, Vale sewing kits do have one other inconvenience: they are containers. This means you can't stick your extras in a bag. You will need to make a few, sell a few, make a few, sell a few. And with needed bag space to buy all those needle and thimble molds to do any number of combines, you can't leave too many inventory spaces open to stack kits for selling.

Considering that the Vale Sewing Kits sell to vendor for less than a plat, I just gave mine away to newb in the zone. Made some very happy newbies. The kits are what I used to skill up on though.

(Lately I've noticed that prices seem to be rounded down a copper, so they actually cost 209p 9g 9s 9c; anyone else seen that as well? Peridots are now 10p 4g 9s 9c, and so on.)

I've seen that as well, with a lot of things.
