Stacking issue
I can understand when once it would have been a balancing issue. Last thing you wanted was to have a cheaply made, readily available stackable DS consumable item. Obviously to control power leveling issues and deter solo playing vs grouping, shaman made DS pots were made expensive so as to put them out of reach of the average, low level player .
At the time too I imagine there must have been consuming issues with stacking, hence the easier path of placing charges on potions and some clickies and then partially fixing it with PoP questing to replace the charges on some items.
7 years later, we are left mainly with the casual player base. Grouping becoming rare at certain times of the day due to the unavailability of numbers.
In come a heck of a lot of coding work (my thanks to all those involved in that major undertaking), and we see stackable potions and the complete refurbishing and redesign of Alchemy. Now we have the bull's tibia in the mouth of every Chihuahua, allowing the 7 year old, level 30 something character to be able to finally get moving along in levels.
Today with available DS, healing, celestial healing, clarity, haste, etc potions there is no more reason for worrying about PLing with the use of humming orbs, and coding does allow for stackable clickies.
The main 'doh!' here is the complete recoding of shadowscream and humming orb recipes, which with another upgrade just around the corner... hmmm... "ain't gonna happen soon, maw". Would be nice though. By then in my case, I may have broken through shadowscream myself, but it would be a nice addition for the up and coming smith.
