  • Fashion question - troll smithed weapons

I am considering having some vengeful honed yaks made for my warrior, and while this won't sway my decision, I was wondering, do they have a unique graphic, or do they just look like regular SSOYs?

They look like Regular SSoY's, the Glyphed Falchion looks like the old Runed Falchion. Can't attest to any of the others.

Bah, gonna get them anyhow, but that is disappointing. They finally throw the trolls a little cultural, and then give it crummy graphics.

Should at least have graphics on par with the black acrylia stuff.

I dual wield Vengeful Honed Blades, and two or three times a day I have to tell people "no I'm not using SSOY's at level 54, I'll link them to you after the fight". I agree, they do need to have some sort of difference in the graphic considering the skill level needed to make them, and the level of the people who would be using them. But that would require a little work, thought, and commitment to doing the right thing, and when have you ever know the designers of EQ to be ready for any of that?

Yeah, it's pretty sad. I sell stuff for the Troll Smith on Xegony, and can attest to the weak graphics.

The Sceptre has a really cool icon, but the item looks like a newbie stick when equipped.

The Darkly Pulsing Orb pulses white, just like the original item (why not make it pulse dark red? Or Dark Blue for the Inno & Dark Green for the Cazic? That would be cool.)

The Shield, now made useless by the proliferation of Tae Ew Shields, also looks just like the base item. Same with the Mace & Shard.
