  • Any ETA on PoP Smithed gear stats fix?

Sorry if its been covered someplace...but aside from the occaisional mention here and there in threads about specific armor that they're mixed up, I haven't seen any real word on this.... Is there any word yet that VI has even acknowledged that they're mixed up?

The issue: whole stat sets are mixed up on some elemental armor sets..

    Planar sets are grouped obviously:
PoFire - High Mana, low HP, Cold save
PoEarth - High HP, Low Mana, Dis/Pois save
PoWater - Balanced hp/mana, Fire save
PoAir - Balanced hp/mana, Magic save

    Tailored sets are all fine...however.....

    Chain:
    Farwater Scale has PoEarth stats
    Livestone Chain has PoAir stats
    Windessence Chain has PoWater stats
    Inferno Chain is correct

    Plate:
    Farwater Plate has PoEarth stats
    Livestone Plate has PoAir stats
    Windessence Plate has PoWater stats
    Inferno Plate is correct

Whether or not the armors are worth using, or balanced for the difficulty, etc., is not the issue....thats for primal scream room... but the stats really need to be put onto the correct armor, so that a) they are in line with the tailored armor, and b) so that the stats/save combinations make somewhat logical sense, as they do on the tailored armor, and PoFire chain/plate, which matches up with the tailored sets..

as soon as verant hires me.

    you think i kid. ^_^

i seriously want them to hire me to fix (from the story-end, not the programming-code-end) anything that needs to be put in line. fudged armor stats. broken quests. the still broken quests. the combines that are bugged due to name changes on components.

there are three possible reasons i can come up with as to why the broken stuff is still broken:

Pessimism: Verant doesn't give a flying [insert bad word here], and just wants to suck our money. (ie, my boyfriend's response)

Optimism: Verant is working on fixing them, and the fixes are due any patch now.... (IE, my roomie's response.)

Sanna-ism: Verant is not organized enough to even REALIZE they have flubbed, and need to hire someone who's sole job (or maybe just main job) is to find the holes and deliver them to the proper team to be fixed and implemented. And ride that team's tail till the fixes are implemented.

now... how on earth/norrath do i convince them that they need me.... ^_^

Okay... why exactly do you believe that the Tailored Sets are the correct ones?

Why couldn't the Smithed Sets be correct and the Tailored Sets be the ones that are mixed up?

compare the saves if anything to the tailored robes...hp/mana doesnt match up to the bp from the same plane..Water items shouldnt have disease/poison saves...etc. You know air should be magic, so plate is not the right set. fire is only consistent one.
