There is also no yttrium armor either (although i did have a dream that i found some recipes for yttrium plate. Then i saw they all used quicksilver temper and basically laughed at the timesink that would be required to make them)

More likely they are a new drop from the revamped Acrylia Caverns....There's a Black Acrylia Shield that drops there too.

Yes, there are several new pieces of equipment that drop from AC called "Black Acrylia XXXXX."

There are no reports of any recipe books as of yet. I stress YET.

Shouldn't be too tough with someone having the right components on hand. I'd hazard a guess it'd be like making a field-plate style gauntlet with the appropriate components-though the shield is certainly a mob drop,which suggests strongly this is as well.

Shame. BA armor/shield would be something I'd find a real prize to produce. Those gauntlets would be a nice upgrade for most hybrids.

If there was smithed black acrylia armor (which there almost certainly isn't) they (the evil they, not to be confused with the indifferent them) would probably require a different temper than the black acrylia weapons. Most likely made from Grimling Fingerbones (2), Essence of Darkness (1), Powdered Windstone (1), and Tau Ew Blood Temper (2) or something equally ridiculous to obtain. (ok, essence of darkness isn't hard...compared to the rest!)

The new dropped armor in AC seems rather nice. Makes me wonder how hard it is to obtain?
