    Nobody said they were?

I list my main stat out of habit, it's better to list your stat and not need it than to not list your stat when it is needed, to completely garble someone elses quote about guns

Prior to the last patch, my human smith (250) had a run of something like 3/28 on heraldic. Not including 1/4 on tae ew shields. A few days ago I got up the gumption to try some more and went 6/11, so my personal curse is gone.

Each time someone lists their stats in a post regarding their success rate, they continue to perpetuate the myth that stats somehow affect success rate. I bound and gagged a guildee, and proceeded to toss them into the deepest lava pit I could find, because they stated that falsehood in guild chat <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/feliciachaorazz.gif alt="She really did! Just think about what she'd do to YOU!">

        Must...kill...rumor!

I am at 250 skill (unadjusted) and was stunned by my failure rate this weekend. I had the worst run I have ever had. Out of 12 attempts, I failed 5 BPs, 2 arms, 1 boots, 1 bracer. Prior to that I was easily 60%.

The RNG just caught up with me.

After hitting the effecting skill cap, I did my first set of Underfoot armor.

went 10 for 12. Oh yeah!

Then, in the past week I had a:

            2 for 4
1 for 3 and, most painful of all
            3 for 12

Which leads to my desire to kneecap the people in the bazaar who seem to have a desire to start a price war..

This morning I went 0/3 on Fierce Heraldic Breast Plates and 1/2 on Fine Heraldic Bracers.
I then went to Shadowhaven and went 1/1 on Tae Ew Chain Tunic and 3/3 on Tae Ew Shields.
The RNG is a harsh mistress.

Out of people that posted they were 250 smiths, and done their combines since the most recent patch we are a combined 8 successes for 54 attempts. Those with under, and well under in some cases, seem to be experiencing far less failures. Fall, can you post whenyou did that 6 for 11 run?

At lunch I did another set of 22 combines. Made 9 items. While that is under 50%, it isn't THAT much under 50%. At the start, tho, I was 2 for 9 and was very VERY angry...;-)

Just let it go. We get the same thing after EVERY patch. Someone is CONVINCED they lowered success rates. It didn't happen, it's just a bad run.

My raw skill is 220. Don't ask me how many combines I have done without a skill-up..;-/

Had my favorite Dorf pro smith make me some Underfoot...

Went 5 for 5 successes to start with BP, Greaves, Bracer, bracer, boots

then a few fails on helm

took something like 9 tries to make vambraces!!!!

Ended up something like 9 successes in 18 tries.

Then we tried 3 times to make a BP for the smith in my guild that did all the subcombines and failed 3 for 3

We WERE at 50% till the last bit there. Apparently even with the last 3 fails we brought the Pro Smith's average success rate up some.

Edit: This was done Sunday, April 27th

I've had similar experiences making the Underfoot plate vambraces (1/7 at 250 raw skill).
