If you look at rogue skill list, they don't get to even start making poison until level 20. Honestly though I don't think it will be too hard to find one with 200+ skill. My guess is any rogue who is lvl 60 or above is into playing the role, and no 'real' rogue would want to be without this skill.. if not for just the uniqueness of it.

So if I get one to level 20 I can skill up high enough?

Sooo, would it be possible to level up a rog to 21, then raise his skill high enough to make Drops of Mercury?
If so I would seriously look into this. I'm sure I can find a Rog with a skill high enough, but most all of my friends have left EQ. I play alone most of the time and am basically continuing EQ because I can craft by myself
If not...if you skill level will be limited by your character level, then I would probably continue to farm or just buyem.

Rogue gotta be level 39 to achieve skill 200 in poisen making. Done it and it costs about 3,000pp to buy skill from 21 to 200. Adding charisma makes skill buy ups cheaper. Poisen skills can be bought all the way to 200 if you have enough skill points available.

Costs about 4pp to make one mercury drop using vendor bought components.
