  • Black acrylia success rates?

I looked through the archives and couldn't find anything on this; apologies if this has been hashed out previously.

Does anyone have experience extensive enough with black acrylia to have a good idea of success rates? Interested in both at 250 and before (though pre-250 can be roughly approximated from rates at 250).

I recently came into a stack of sheets of black acrylia, and while I'm nowhere near the skill level I'd need to have any expectation of making much from them (I'm at 189 now), I'm wondering how long I should wait before attempting a few. I would just wait for 250, but I could really use the money from selling BA weapons to fund my pushes to GM tailoring and smithing.

The one post I could find that included significant amounts of BA combines looked like 60-80% success in the 240's range; is this consistent with what others are seeing?

Seeing about 50%, but not an overly huge sample size.

      BA

40% at 237/248 (inc Trophy), small sample. Wouldnt touch it until after 220 effective skill myself (25% success approx at that level).

Stick to the BA Halberd its competitive against Tae Ew, although the BA Mace, Rapier and Longsword are all good for under 51 levels make them to order.

Got to pull the sheep out of the dam now

From what I can gather, and it's pretty anecdotal from smiths on my server, 60% at max skill or so.

At 252 effective skill, I succeeded 12/19 on the black acrylia halberd.

Since the weapons are lore, it's not great for skillups unless you don't care about recouping funds.

I havent done too much of it. Maybe the random number gods were smiling upon me but in the batches i have done since getting 250+ effective i have had one batch (4/6) 2nd batch (7/8), 3rd batch (7/9)

            Well over 50% success

My experience at maxed skill is that they are similar to cultural. Maybe a slightly higher success rate.

                At 238 + geerlok, I failed 2 of 8 attempts.

                  30% success for me

I've done over 60 combines between base skill of 207-217 with a geerlok. In that set I've seen myself go 4 for 6 and then go 2 for 6. Overall I'd say I'm getting between 25-33% success. Not so hot I may just be unlucky. I was almost breaking even though with some frugal buying and selling and at the time I was really getting sick of enchanting ore for hours on end so it was nice to try something different and relatively simple for a change.
