I have a dwarven clerical smith and a human monk potter. I have my cleric with 255 wis, with kei, and I have managed to scrounge up 207 wis o my monk.

    I have a questions:

How do people get a wis or int of over 255? Is that an AA thing?

Also, if you feel like answering, i am having a hard time finding wis gear for my monk that is not expensive... massively fiscally lacking. ops:

    Thanks

At each level above 60, players get +5 to the max cap of their stats. In other words, at level 61 the cap is at 260 all the way to 65 where the cap is at 280. Furthermore, there is the Planar Power AA skill, which can be trained once for each level above 60, which grants an additional +5 to the cap, so this adds up to a cap of 265 at lvl 61 up to 305 at level 65.

On top of this, there is another AA skill, which raises the cap on INT and WIS for each level above 60, by +10. Adding this too, the INT/WIS cap at lvl 61 becomes 275, up to 355 at lvl 65.

Planar Enlightenment is the AA that gets your wis/int up, but melees don't get it. Kaysha is right that 275 is the limit on wis/int at 61; I got the Planar Power AA's and the first level of Planar Enlightenment to up my potential max.

Monks can wear a lot of druid stuff, since they're both leather wearers, and also BST stuff, which can have wis on it. Druid stuff is fairly cheap too; you might want to do a /bazaar search under druid equipment if you haven't already.

By the way, if you're that broke, you might want to take up brewing. You can get to 250 quickly and start selling stuff pretty well for good money. Grobbs liquidized meats sell very nicely, at least on my server. Or you can do what my monk did at 51 -- killed in The Warrens for Paineel faction, then killed the factionless skelly guards inside Paineel and sold their shields and swords to merchants there for about 500pp an hour. Not bad for an awful lot of people, and a windfall rate of cash for many.
