Engraved Royal Velium...

I have seen this stuff for sale in the bazaar, and eqmaps.com even has stats for it listed as well as indicating that it requires Smithing skill, yet I cannot seem to find the recipe for this armor on this site. If someone would enlighten me as to what it takes to make it, or point me in the right direction to find such information, I'd really appreciate it (sorry if the recipes are easy to find and my incompetence is all that is keeping me from the information, hehe).

It's a bit tricky to find... You probably saw the Royal velium armor on the smithing - armor page here:

What you do next is take that armor and use some jewelcrafting on it. check out this page:

http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_jewlcraft.htm

You will need to imbue it, then engrave it.

I was wondering the same... so are you saying that if you fail on:
imbued royal velium armor piece (no drop) + etching tool, then you get a Royal Velium pice back?
