Tae Ew 2 handed sword

I was amazed when I checked the stats of this weapon, it would be excellent for me to use it at 51. Checking the recipes I see that the only hard things to get are Iksar blood and Tae Ew blood. Definitely worth the try!

Should I expect a succes rate similar to the Tae Ew Shield, or is it harder to make? Any hints about getting Iksar blood?

well, for some xp, loot, AND the iksar blood you could try Upper Jail in Old Sebilis. In the four jail cells are one Iksar Necromancer each. They tend to drop fire opals along with the occasional Iksar Blood (blood drop rate is notoriously low). You're only limited by the respawn rate of the Iksar, but at least the Frogs and the one Beetle in that area will keep the xp and the loot flowing.

Dulak is the place to go for Iksar blood.

I think you can expect about the same success rate on swords as shields.

Where in Dulak? I have seen pirates from many races but never Iksar.

the dock guards who roam. The ones near the mine carts on the left coming from zone. Also scattered in houses(middle row that ive seen) and the ship in far left corner(these are a little harder). Dulak is the harbor zone, not gunthak with the pirates.

Iksar blood

In Dulak the place to go for the Iksar blood is the ship named "Windshorn". It has a fair complement of Iksar on the crew, about half I would guess.

When I soloed there (specifically to get the blood) it seemed to drop fairly often. I think I got about 4 or 5 blood in about 2 hours or so.

They run about 6-8k on my server. more ac, less hps, recommended level 53 instead of required 51, meaning you can equip it at anytime and the stats will catch up to you by 53.

Should be cheaper than tracking down the parts and a high level smith and getting a success on the combine. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you are not able to make the sword yourself.

Yeah, but then I wouldn't be wielding a weapon crafted by myself... 8)

I still think Tae Ew is a better sword, mostly because of the hp. And Widebladed costs much more than 8k in my server, FV.

I've gotten Iksar blood and meat from the wandering guards in Dulak. Tend to be of the harder types of mob in the zone.
