how can i get pristine tae ew scales??

They drop in Cazic-Thule (the zone), from the Lizards in that zone. However, the drop is very rare. I have hunted there several times for a number of hours each, and up until yesterday I had not seen a Pristine Scale drop at all. Maybe they upped the droprate on these, however, as I got 2 yesterday.

Pristine Scales do NOT stack, by the way.

Shame so many **** scales are needed to make 1 piece of armor.

I had one from a green Lizard at 4C as well. I know this, because it was really hilarious what happened. As we were killing it, I was making emotes like "/em examines a Tae Ew protector for pristine scales", and "/say Hey, a Tae Ew protector, did you take good care of your scales?". When we finally killed him, he indeed dropped a Pristine Scale, we were all laughing out loud at the coincidence. I made some screenshots of the chat at that time :P

Edit: I don't know from what mob we got the first scale, but it was at 4C in any case.

Last night me and a few friends camped 4c...to my utter astonishment a pristine tae ew scale dropped in less than an hour's time. Few minutes after that we got a 2nd :shock: :shock: . In about 1-1.5 hours we totaled 2 bloods and 2 pristine scales.

I think the blood drops were upped (got 11 blodd drops in one evening of hunting) . WE also did 4c, killed a few brown lizards but no pristine scales
