Crimson Darksplint does not combine?

I've tried to make crimson darksplint bracer and neck guard, but have got DNC on both. I'm using the following components in the Oggok cultural forge:

Bracer: Large Chainmail Bracelet pattern, large leather wristbands, imbued jade, blood temper, sheet of Oggok adamantite.

Gorget: Large Chainmail neckguard pattern, large leather gorget, imbued jade, blood temper, sheet of Oggok adamantite.

Am I using the wrong pattern or piece of leather armour? I bought the armour from the vendor in Oggok.

Hmm.... try it with and without a smithy hammer maybe.

Looks like other races BD cultural use a hammer of some sort.
Also it looks like some other Ogre culturals recipes use a smithy hammer.... could just be an omission.
